Vista De Robles celebrates with song!

caroling
doughnuts and ice cream

Psynergy’s Vista de Robles campus in Rancho Cordova was rockin’ around the Christmas tree on December 20, National Caroling Day.  Over 25 carolers from neighboring World Praise International Church donned their red Christmas hats and stopped in to put on an hour-long show for delighted residents and staff.

Program Manager Danitta Means says that she is always focused on creating positive vibes for residents around the holidays, and is not shy about reaching out to resources in the community.  “It’s a nice way to build bridges between the Psynergy residents and our nearby neighbors,” Means relates.

World Praise’s Pastor Ron Barnes also brought his Little Hotties Mini Doughnuts food truck and provided free ice cream and doughnuts for everyone, telling Means that he just wanted to give back to the community.

Aaron Sansome, one of the therapists at Vista de Robles, also had a surprise up his sleeve.  His in-laws routinely dress up as Santa and Mrs. Claus at Christmastime, and Sansome invited them to join the residents and choir members for a visit with Santa.  As the choir sang “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” Santa actually appeared!

“Our residents absolutely loved it,” says Means. “The audience of 70+ residents and all of the Psynergy staff had a wonderful time, and offer their sincere thanks to everyone who helped make this event happen.”
