Crisis Intervention Services

"Crisis intervention" is a service rendered as needed for a condition that requires more timely response than a regularly scheduled visit. Crisis intervention is an immediate emergency response that is intended to help the client cope with a crisis. This could include potential danger to self or others requiring additional support,  or a reaction to medication that is above the client's normal baseline. Crisis intervention activities are usually face-to-face, or by telephone with the client or significant support persons. They may be provided in the office or in the community.
