Making a Difference
Psynergy Programs operates with a Good Neighbor Policy and conducts monthly community outreach that helps our residents become active members of the larger community. With an initial focus on their immediate surroundings, residents have the opportunity to make personal decisions that can make a difference.
Each resident is encouraged to participate in the weekly Community Meeting with all staff members. The meeting is conducted within an open forum and routinely chaired by the Chief Executive Officer or the Clinical Director. The Community Meeting addresses pertinent issues and conditions effecting the quality of services, the overall integrity of the program , and the well-being of the Therapuetic Community.
By making a difference in their Therapuetic Community, residents can model larger roles in their local community.Topics of discussion during the meeting may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Announcements of future program events.
- Program issues requiring community support.
- Rule violations or issues creating conflict or discontent in the community.
- Proposals for alterations or improvements to the program.
- Clarification of program policies and procedures.
- Acknowledgements of individual efforts and achievements.
- Performance of graduation ceremonies.
