Psynergy Programs offers a resident employee program. After two weeks of residency, clients can apply for and obtain a job at the facility. Options include housekeepers, landscapers, patio workers, group leaders, peer support and dining room helpers. The client must be in good standing, and have demonstrated that they are a reliable member of the group—kind to fellow residents, respectful towards other clients, attending groups and medical appointments, and not engaging in altercations with clients or staff. Psynergy views holding a job as an incentive, and the hiring process as excellent practice for an eventual real-world interview. Residents receive incentives as payment for their work.
Education services involve linking clients to resources in the community. The Adult School is available to help clients obtain a GED certificate. For those who are already high school graduates, Psynergy helps clients apply for admission to Gavilan College in Morgan Hill, which offers a wide range of career-focused programs ranging from health science, language arts and social science to mathematics, computer science and business. The main campus of Gavilan college is in Gilroy, CA.
